libjs-edit-area software package provides a free javascript editor for source code, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libjs-edit-area
libjs-edit-area is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libjs-edit-area package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libjs-edit-area *
You will get with libjs-edit-area package name, version, architecture and description in a table
